With funding from Ageing Better in Birmingham, Forward Carers are creating a City-wide offer, to help give older carers a break, by putting them into contact with services who will look after their loved ones while they go out.

What we're trying to do is to make it as simple as possible for families and friends to find your services.

As part of the project we are creating a web-based directory. Yes, we know that there are quite a few of those...but this one will also have a telephone service to help people who aren't on the web, or who aren't confident in finding a service that way.

So, if you provide a free, or paid-for Sitting Service, Befriending, or something similar in Birmingham, they'd love to hear from you.

And, if you already operate a domiciliary care service, for example and hadn't yet thought about offering a Sitting Service, or a Befriending Service, then now is the time.
